This book was not written by Nouwen (who died in 1996) but was developed by two of his students who identified "strands of timeless wisdom and personal guidance" from Nouwen's writings. The book is offered as a literary encounter with Nouwen for personal spiritual growth within your own community.

Clergy Appreciation Month is a special time that congregations set aside each year to honor their pastors and pastoral families for the dedication and multiple blessings provided by these special people. Typically scheduled in October, but can be held at any time that is convenient for the church. Important to remember that appreciation and affirmation of our spiritual leaders is appropriate throughout the entire year.
